Zipora Whyman, who passed away at the age of 86, is remembered as a vibrant woman whose life was defined by a profound warmth and an unwavering generosity of spirit. Her boundless energy was channeled into her family, her friendships, and a host of creative passions.

She possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, drawing them in with her quick wit, spontaneous nature, and deep-seated kindness. Her home was a hub of hospitality, where she was famed for her culinary skills. She masterfully blended Middle Eastern and European flavors, crafting personalized meals that catered thoughtfully to the tastes of her guests and loved ones.

Born in Jerusalem, she was raised in a family of Kurdish Jewish heritage. Her formative years were largely spent in the communal environment of two kibbutzim in northern Israel, an experience that profoundly shaped her outlook.

It was on a kibbutz that she met Edward Whyman, a volunteer from Britain. After marrying in 1964, their life together was one of international movement, with periods spent in Ghana before settling in the UK. As her husband pursued a career in nuclear physics, their family life spanned several cities across Europe and the Middle East. Throughout this time, she was a dedicated mother, ensuring her children remained connected to their cultural roots.

In her later years, she discovered a passion for floristry. She developed a particular talent for creating pressed-flower art, earning recognition in national competitions where her work was praised for its exceptional detail and beauty.

She is survived by her husband, Edward, her two children, and a grandson.
