NOTTINGHAM FOREST SECURE FOURTH BOTAFOGO SIGNING WITH CUIABANO DEAL

1 min read

Nottingham Forest have finalized an agreement to bring Brazilian left-back Cuiabano to the City Ground, marking their fourth acquisition from Botafogo during this transfer window. The 22-year-old defender is set to sign a five-year contract after the club activated a pre-arranged option, edging out competition from Brighton for his services.

Cuiabano is scheduled to arrive in England on Sunday to undergo medical examinations. This follows last week’s arrival of goalkeeper John Victor, who also committed to a four-year deal with Forest. These signings join earlier acquisitions Jair Cunha and Igor Jesus, all sourced from the Brazilian club owned by former Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor.

In other transfer developments, Fulham are nearing a club-record £34.6 million agreement for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin. The proposed fee for the 22-year-old Brazilian would exceed the £27 million the club paid for Emile Smith Rowe last summer.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are preparing a late £40 million bid for Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martínez, though previous negotiations stalled over the player’s wage demands.
