Acclaimed actress Keira Knightley, known for her roles in films such as Bend It Like Beckham, Pride & Prejudice, and Atonement, is now inviting questions from the public for an upcoming feature. The Oscar-nominated star, who has recently added “children’s author” to her list of accomplishments, will respond to selected inquiries.

Knightley’s career began with early roles, including a part in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, where she served as a stand-in for Natalie Portman. Her breakthrough performance came in the 2002 film Bend It Like Beckham, which launched her into widespread recognition. Since then, she has received multiple award nominations for her work in projects like The Imitation Game and the television series Black Doves.

Throughout her career, Knightley has been considered for several high-profile roles that ultimately went to other actresses, including parts in Casino Royale, Superman Returns, and The Dark Knight Rises. In a past television appearance, she shared an anecdote about a director initially hesitating to cast her, believing she was “too pretty” for a role, though he later changed his mind after meeting her.

Beyond acting, Knightley has been recognized for her voice, was appointed an OBE in 2018, and is a known supporter of West Ham United. She has also revealed she has a fear of dentists. Her latest venture is authoring and illustrating a children’s book titled I Love You Just the Same, which explores a young girl’s experience with a new sibling.

Readers are invited to submit their questions for Knightley by noon on Thursday, September 4th. Her responses will be featured in a forthcoming publication. Her debut book is scheduled for release on October 23rd.
