Newcastle United have secured the signature of German international striker Nick Woltemade in a landmark deal that sets a new club transfer record. The 23-year-old arrives from Stuttgart, with the reported fee of £69 million surpassing the previous record held by Alexander Isak.

Woltemade, a product of Werder Bremen’s youth system where he became their youngest-ever Bundesliga player, is coming off a standout season in Germany. His 17 goals in 33 appearances for Stuttgart cemented his reputation as one of Europe’s emerging attacking talents.

The towering forward, who stands at 1.98 meters, expressed his enthusiasm for the move. “This is a significant step in my career, but I already feel a strong sense of belonging here,” Woltemade stated. “Conversations with the coaching staff convinced me this is the ideal environment to maximize my potential and continue my development.”

Newcastle’s manager highlighted the strategic nature of the signing. “He possesses the precise qualities we targeted to strengthen our frontline,” the manager said. “His technical skills are exceptional, and he has already demonstrated his threat at the highest level, yet his age means his best years are still ahead of him.”

In other transfer activity, Nottingham Forest have bolstered their defensive line with the capture of Nicolò Savona from Juventus. The 22-year-old Italian defender, who has already experienced senior international recognition, has committed to a five-year contract.

“This is a dream realized for me,” Savona commented. “To join a club with such a rich history is a thrilling new chapter, both personally and professionally.”

Meanwhile, Fulham confirmed the departure of midfielder Andreas Pereira to Brazilian side Palmeiras, concluding his three-year tenure in London. The former Manchester United player reflected fondly on his time at the club, stating, “I am proud of our collective achievements, and this club will always hold a special place with me.”

Additionally, Aberdeen have completed the signing of young defender Mitchel Frame from Celtic. The 19-year-old Scottish prospect has agreed to a four-year contract with the Pittodrie side.
